Dogzaloud Canine Training and Behavioural Centre is for people who like to have fun training their dogs. We cover everything from your puppy's very first lessons to advanced working trials training.
In a friendly atmosphere you will concentrate on the bond between
your dog and you - and the control necessary for a safe and happy relationship.
We don't just do 'sit' and 'heel'. We develop all aspects of
on-lead and off-lead control, and use stimulating agility and nose-work
training to further improve your dog's drive and behaviour. You will be
rewarded with a healthy, loving, attentive, and intelligent companion - not a
draft excluder.
Beginners & Puppies
Dogzaloud beginner classes are based loosely around the BIPDT
Bronze award. You and your dog will learn the practical basics of reward based
training, obedience, and 'good citizenship'- with the addition of stimulating
search games and low -impact agility. You'll also get advice on nutrition,
first aid, and your dog's home environment.
On starting with Barking Mad you'll get a free introductory
consultation, then all you have to do is enjoy spending constructive time with
your dog.
Intermediate
The intermediate courses at Barking Mad are based around our BIPDT
accredited Silver award, and represent a step up from basic pet happiness to a
high standard of control though not in any way out of reach for any dog - and
still fun! To get the most out of these lessons, you should already have the
basics of obedience under your belt, and your dog must be motivated enough to
get the maximum benefit from our reward-based training methods. You should also
be prepared to do your homework! We introduce more demanding agility and
working trials-based exercises to keep you and your dog on your toes.
Advanced
At Barking Mad DTS we have number of successful advanced classes.
Many of our members have achieved significant success in competitive working
trials and more, such as agility, flyball, and obedience. For information on
these activities, please see our selective training page.
